JEDDAH: The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has stressed the pressing need for an Emergency Disaster Response Fund to deal with natural calamities in member states, as the Kingdom raised SR400 million in relief for Pakistan.

Four people lost their lives in a suspected target killing incident in PNT Colony of Karachi’s Korangi area on Tuesday.
Four unidentified men riding motorbikes opened fire on a car, killing all four passengers.

WASHINGTON: The US-based magazine Foreign Policy, has ranked Pakistan 10th on the Failed State Index, 2010.
The list comprises 177 countries, and is topped by Somalia, Zimbabwe, Sudan and Chad.
India is ranked 87, while China comes in at 57. Norway is ranked at the bottom of the list.
