sir allama iqbal’s criticism to the secularist liberal and so called muslim of today.
jihad ( a poem)
translated:
this is the age of the pen,thus the sheikh exhorts
the sword has outline its use, abondon it, discard
the sheikh is perhaps not aware that giving such advice
in a modern mosque , is a thing futile
when does a muslim now carry a sword or scimitar?
what is the thrill of sacrifice, he knows it not at all
he who starts trembling on seeing a kafir die
who will ask this coward to lay down his life?
only he should be advised to shun the fight and fray,
whose ferocious claws are a threat to human race.
lo, the whole europe is in battlegear arrayed
to preserve their false values, they are out to kill and slay.
we should judge the east and west by same norms,
if you take no note of europe, why blame islam??
